In general, the following types of biomass-fuels can be burned in the basket:

Pellets, Shavings, Prunings, Kernels, Shells, Charcoal, Wood Chips , etc.

The steel basket is always required when we plan to burn wood pellets in fireplaces or common wood stoves.

It can also be used as a portable barbecue for vacations, in sauna heaters and wood-burning ovens.

The pellet basket works in any wood stove or fireplace without the need for any special construction or fan (blower) or ventilator.

By burning wood pellets in the basket instead of regular wood in your fireplace or stove, the benefits are manifold:

• You need half the storage space for pellets compared to wood
• Pellet combustion is almost perfect with a lively flame, leaving minimal ash of 0.6%, instead of the 15-20% that wood leaves.
• Pellets do not require frequent refueling as their combustion is slow and stable.
• The chimney remains clean for a much longer period of time by burning pellets with a moisture content that does not exceed 6%, instead of wood which is usually from 25% to 40%.

The result is that although the purchase cost of pellets per kilo is twice as high as that of wood, it is advantageous since their calorific value is similar: PELLET 5200kcal/kgr and WOOD 3500kcal/kgr (30% moisture)

Wood pellets are a clean and inexpensive fuel, providing heating enjoyment.

How to use it:

• Put the basket in the fireplace or stove
• Place the pellets inside and light the fire.
• The air passing through the basket gives a very efficient combustion and leaves minimal ash.
